Back to School Kick Off!!!

Kick off Potluck


Sunday, August 12th

5:30 p.m.

Christian Ed Committee has planned a Back to School Potluck at the CCC. All children, parents, grandparents, members of the congregation and teachers are invited to come.

Each family is asked to bring a dish to share and table service. Drinks will be provided.

We will enjoy our meal together at the CCC after which time the adults will go to the church.

The adults will preview the curriculum that has been purchased to be used this fall.

The children will be able to enjoy supervised play at the CCC during that time.

Even if you don’t participate in Sunday School, please come and enjoy the potluck with your congregation.

Going to visit 101

Have you ever really wanted to go visit someone who was sick? Maybe they are in the hospital or they are at home. Or maybe you wanted to go visit some of our church members who are not able to get out and come to church anymore. You would really like to do it but you stop youself because what would you say to them? What if you say the wrong thing or you don't have anything to say at all? We all have questions like this. I am going to attempt to address them. On Sunday, June 24th at 3pm, I am going to offer a chance for you to ask questions, get advice, and even practice what hospital visitations and converstaions are like. You are not committing to anything by coming, just taking the opportunity to learn more. Please let me know if you are interested! Elissa

I'm Back!

So if you have been following the blog, you will see a lapse in which nothing was written and the prayer requests and calendar have not been updated. I will be getting back to doing that on a regular basis. Enjoy!

Glo Party

The First Presbyterian Church of Bushnell will be hosting the Glo Party!
It will be on Saturday, February 4th, 2012
7pm to 9pm at the Community Christian Center
All Families are Welcome
3rd grade and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
There will be FOOD, MUSIC, GLOW IN THE DARK STICKS, and FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!

Christmas Program!

Ready or not, here it comes! Friends, it is almost that time of year again! It is hard to imagine because the weather has been so nice in the last few days, but Thanksgiving and Christmas are just around the corner. And so it is the time we begin to work on the Christmas progam. This year's program is called the "Bethlehem Inn." This is not just a program for the kids but for everyone. We do have several adults who have parts in it. This year we will present the program on December 18th at 10:30am (during worship). We hope you will all come and enjoy this wonderful day with us!

Summer Sunday School

This summer, the First Presbyterian Church will be offering Sunday school for all ages. The adults are invited to participate in Pastor Elissa's study using the book, "Facing Your Giants" by Max Lucado. The cost of this study is $10 for the purchase of the book.
Our music director, John Draws, will be offering children's Sunday school as well. It will be a different style with games, music, and Bible lessons.

Sunday School starts at 9am! We hope you will join us!
